Terms and Conditions
Thanks for considering a consultation with me. Here is the small print you will want to know about working with me.
Booking
Booking an appointment with me is confirmation that you are aware of and agree with the below and you accept these terms and conditions to cover the entire duration of the engagement you have with me.
In good faith
It is your choice. You agree that you have sought my help of your own free will and initiative. You confirm that you make an appointment in good faith and that you have the ability to accept or reject this care of your own free will and choice and are mentally competent to enter into this agreement. You acknowledge that you are not representing an agency (private, governmental or otherwise) attempting to gather information without so stating eg. you are not a reporter posing as a patient.
Missed appointments will be charged at the full cost of the consultation, without 48 hours notice being given, as this appointment could have been given to someone on my waiting list. But I understand that life throws up last minute emergencies so if you can’t make it in this instance, get in touch and let me know, as you won’t be able to cancel it on my system online with less than 48 hours notice.
When you book online, ensure you enter your own local time zone. You can reschedule an appointment easily yourself via my online booking system, as long as this is 48 hours before your appointment.
You agree to give me as much notice as possible should you need to cancel an appointment.
Consultations
The consultation will start and finish at the time booked. If you arrive late this cuts short the time we can consult but you will be charged the full consultation fee.
For all online consultations you will find the details for my Zoom personal room in your email confirmation. Use these details at the arranged time and come straight into my Waiting Room where I will admit you at the agreed time. If for any reason we have technical difficulties we will find another way to communicate such as WhatsApp video or Skype. If every avenue fails and we cannot connect due to technical failure, we will reschedule and if the fault is mine, you will not be charged. If the fault is yours, you will be charged.
Confidentiality
I will not share your details with any third party unless I am required to do so by law for the protection of life.
Everything discussed at each consultation is confidential and will not be discussed with anyone else unless, after agreeing with you, you have given me your explicit permission to do so eg to discuss your information with other health professionals to benefit your health.
I am required by UK law to keep your consultation notes and information for 10 years. After this time they will be disposed of confidentially. Regarding the use of internet, Facebook, video calls, messenger, emails or telephone calls: I will take every precaution reasonably possible to ensure the privacy of your information, but it cannot be guaranteed across these technologies.
Code of Conduct
I am not a member of the Society of Homeopaths (UK) but I abide by their Code of Conduct and Ethics.
Out of Hours
Reasonable contact and support is available between consultations. I prefer to be contacted via WhatsApp if your enquiry is urgent, or by email. If you need to speak to me face to face between consultations regarding your prescription or progress, please book a free 15 min call with me through my online booking system.
I do not provide an emergency, out-of-hours service. In an emergency, if you are concerned about your health you are advised to contact your GP or attend A&E if appropriate. The Homeopathic Helpline in the UK is available 365 days per year on 09065 343404. This is a BT regulated number which costs £1.53 per minute, plus network extras.
If you need emergency care you must contact the emergency services.
Homeopathy and Other Healthcare
Homeopathy can be used alongside conventional medication and therapies.
It is your responsibility to communicate with your healthcare providers and inform them of all the treatments you receive and medications you are taking.
You will not be asked to come off your usual medications. But if it is your choice to make changes in the medications you must discuss this with your prescribing practitioner first.
You may be asked to have additional health checks, to see your doctor for diagnosis or to discuss if your medications are still required.
You may be asked to undertake private blood or hair tests at your own cost.
Photos/Videos
I may ask for a photo or video to illustrate your complaint if this is needed to help determine the right remedy or approach. We will discuss this in your appointment if this is required and you have the right to refuse. You will ensure that any photos or videos you do send prior/during/ after consultations will not show nudity of private parts of the body of adults or children.
No video or audio recordings in any form shall be made during consultation unless explicitly discussed and consented to by all parties beforehand.
Prescriptions and Remedies
You will buy your homeopathic remedy promptly after you receive my prescription, from a homeopathic pharmacy, or I will dispense your remedy to you if I have it in my own small pharmacy. I will send your prescription, and if I am dispensing your remedy, within 5 working days of your consultation. I always dispense homeobotanicals directly and there will be an additional charge per bottle, plus postage.
Emails/Marketing
When you book a consultation with me, I will add your email address to my own client list so that I can contact you about your consultations, news and courses and about learning more about homeopathy. You can unsubscribe from this list at any time.
You must agree to my GDPR statement before booking. I will never share or sell your data to any third party for any purpose.
Payment
Payment is due on receipt of email confirmation of your consultation, or at the latest prior to consultation. Payment details are provided in your confirmation email. Payment confirms your consultation and our agreement.
Disclaimers
In compliance with the various Statutes and Regulations, no specific claims are made for the application or use of Homeobotanical preparations. The blends are Dietary Supplements designed for use as part of a comprehensive care programme.
